Our Practice's Journey

So, here's a little glimpse of how we got here.

I'm Stacey and my first experience of self assessments: bin bags upon bin bags of unopened post and paperwork from suppliers. Yeah, it was chaos. Turns out, the accountant we thought was a bargain? Not so great at checking if everything was there.

Back in 2004, I stumbled into the business world by accident. Friends needed help, and as the 'organised one,' I got on board. I had to figure out the bookkeeping because I needed to understand the numbers to keep them in business.

I loved making the numbers add up, neatly filing everything away. I became the middle person, translating the mysteries of Profit & Loss reports and Balance sheets for business owners and their accountants.

Fast forward to 2015, and what was supposed to be a quick gig with Leanda turned into co-director status. Together we transformed the systems, implemented processes and throughout this I learned even more about bookkeeping.

Leanda has been steering Celtic Bookkeeping since 2010, growing it from just one client (her husband!) to where we are now.

She's been through it all – married to a construction worker, part of sales groups, running holiday lets, and a Royal Navy veteran.

Now, together, we're here to support business owners who want to get a grip on their finances & systems.

By the way (humble brag) we're shortlisted for Bookkeeping Practice of the Year at the Xero 2024 awards!
